I'm sure you know but for others to see... Forecasters use a tool called the models. Each forecast outlet or meteo uses blends of them or weighs in more on one than the other. Without models its just a wild guess.
When models all agree its a breeze for forecasting. 90% of the time they don't. Even 1 day away because the model interpret detailed results differently. Whether it be more/less clouds. Warmer/Cooler aloft. Weaker/Strong winds. More/Less moisture... Ect Ect...
Lets take a look at Winnipeg (assuming you are still there)
Latest GFS has 4C at 18z Sunday.
Latest Euro has 8C at 18z Sunday.
Latest NAM has 1.7C at 18z Sunday
Euro has 8C at 18z Sunday.
Latest NAM has 1.7 at 18z Sunday
So tell me.... if you were a forecaster, what would you forecast for Sunday? lol
Looks like the surface humidity is different with them perhaps giving the different results for the temps as well. GFS has 100% humidity. But the NAM is way warmer at 5000' and yet coolest at the surface..
I'm glad I'm not a forecaster
Makes sense, just ticks me off sometimes. Especially in the summer if its off by 5C and I end up either under or over dressed.
They are both showing same cloud conditions and windy conditions.
