Thankfully some cooler weather will return this weekend. Apparently the ski resort will stay open into March. Friday's rain will probably wash away a lot of snow and unfortunately no nights below freezing are forecasted until this weekend. We'll see what happens.

Tonight: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Thursday: A chance of showers, mainly before 9am. Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 54. Light wind becoming west between 10 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Thursday Night: Rain, mainly after 1am. Low around 36. Light north wind. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Friday: Rain. High near 57. East wind 5 to 8 mph becoming west between 14 and 17 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Friday Night: A chance of rain showers, mixing with snow after midnight, then gradually ending. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 31. West wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Saturday: A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy and breezy, with a high near 41. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 21.

It sounds like your area's resort is on the ropes for just barely scraping by meteorological winter. Terrible.

Yeah and this week's weather is basically the nail in the coffin. Fortunately tomorrow's forecast was revised from 57 to 51 F, but at that point it doesn't make a difference. 50s and snow don't go well together.

If I weren't reliant on an industry impacted by weather, I wouldn't mind as much. Though I have no doubt this summer will be reliably warm for the waterpark.

I would think that even your coldest summers would be reliably warm enough for a water park, although I guess it is a matter of what people are used to.
