I'll be spending a long weekend somewhere between these two places. There is still 52cm of snow in Fichtelberg (it's at 1200m, Chemnitz roughly 400-450m), down from over 90cm a week before Christmas but with those temperatures it won't be the winter wonderland I was hoping for

Well double figure temperatures in winter is crazy... its surpose to be winter not Autumn!

With a averge high of a very mild 8C anything above 9C is crazy.
