Yeah, it's been an odd summer in the fact that the whole of northern England didn't reach 30C yet both Scotland and Northern Ireland did. Actually, somewhere in North West England may have reached 30C, but I'm not sure. Seems to be similar in the East Midlands with many places getting close to 30C but never quite getting there. Probably because of those easterly winds off the cool North Sea.
But I wouldn't let that bother you - that place in Scotland will have seen a one day spike of hot weather before cooling off, whereas I'm sure you've been much warmer over the entire month.
yeah at least we are in mid 20's still and they are much cooler now, it reached 26c today
