Ugh... and tell me how many octobers does it reach 26c in England? (well at this stage anyway)

Most don't.. but some do. 26C in England in October would not be considered a freak event.

But October is very late in the season.. Like its almost winter.

All I'm saying is that 26C in England would not be considered a freak event. Pretty unusual, but nothing like the 30C recorded in October 2011.

Has 26C ever happened this late in the month in England? It's obviously very much possible at the beginning of the month as we've seen 29C in recent years, I just doubt it can happen this late.

We haven't even reached 20C this October, but it's been a warm month so far. We're averaging 17.4C for a high so far.

I'm sure Southsea holds/used to hold the record for the latest 23C recorded in the year, it was at the end of October sometime in the 1960's I believe... The UK record high for November is 21.7C recorded on the 4th at Prestatyn in 1946...
