Subzero highs? No, the average high goes below freezing a week before Christmas.

Need I say more for the Philippines?..... Such an amazing satellite image but this is going to be a disaster.... 190MPH sustained winds.. gusts well over 200MPH.. almost a sub 900MB storm.

You made a comment about climate in general thinking they work the same as yours. You should "nowhere" should be getting 20°C in November. I'm pointing out you're making bad assumptions. Apparently you don't understand not everywhere works the way your location does. Ksolina's climate does not work the same as yours. It may be more similar to mine than yours, I'm not sure.
Zagreb is continental so its more similar to your location infact the fact that Zagreb gets to 20c shows how far temperatures can go from the average - it works both ways (below and above average)

Owen should know this...

The way your brain operates is just amazing.

It depends on many factors. The polar jet is often right atop of us this time of the year bringing moist and unsettled weather from the west, and the sun strength is not sufficient to burn away clouds and damp, overcast conditions prevail. The Baltic Sea is also still warm enough to keep temps comfortably above freezing often also at night, and finally the Siberian high is usually not strong enough to affect us.

Of course varies a lot from year to year, and it can turn quickly much colder if the wind blows from the east.

A good example from last year: Synop report summary

Oh, I wouldn't worry about that. The current conditions don't affect the future the slightest bit (the seasons are pretty independent). Also, the temperatures went from -18c to 20c in December 2009 in four days, so I don't see why the opposite couldn't happen

However, if I were you, I would be seriously worried about the prospect of getting winter in NI.

In other news, somewhere between 30 and 65 mm of precipitation is forecasted for this weekend, so we might cross the 100 mm mark pretty early (We have about 70 mm of precipitation this month already, from this past weekend and Tuesday).
