I suspect our forecasts are actually given for somewhere a bit higher up like Bingley or Malham because they tend to be on the pessimistic side. No idea where they get yours from though!
The slightly lower temperatures for York on the Met Office forecast (i.e. 'only' 11C on Thursday) make me feel better at least
Good news, the rain seems to be finally clearing by Sunday, with some nice sunny days forecast after the weekend Bad news, my Mother in Law arrives here on Sunday for a week
