Hey everybody. I am not sure this thread will last long, but I could be wrong. I have started this thread so people can input there own forecasts for THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL ONLY for the present and future (as many days you can go out).... Mention the current systems affecting you and how it is causing storm development, if you like...

I will start:

Southwest Victoria, Australia
THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL OUTLOOK

Thursday: There is a small risk for thunderstorms about Victoria today, particularly southwest Victoria as a very unstable southwesterly airflow continues... The thunderstorm chances get a boost this afternoon when a low pressure trough moves into the western part of the state. There could be squalls with the storms and also hail and water spouts...

Friday: The chances are generally minimal on Friday because a weak high pressure ridge extends itself across Victoria. The best chance for a thunderstorm on Friday would be the eastern parts of the state however any storm development would be weak.

FURTHER OUTLOOOK
There are signs there may be some further weak storm development about the western areas on Saturday and Sunday.

Southwest Victoria, Australia
THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL OUTLOOK

Thursday evening: There is a small risk for thunderstorms about eastern Victoria tonight. Scattered thunderstorms are likely to continue over the southwest overnight and increase through central parts of the state tonight. This is as a very unstable southwesterly airflow continues...

There are signs there may be some further weak storm development about the western areas on the weekend and the start of next week.

We have a slight chance of thunderstorms here tomorrow and Saturday as a wave of monsoonal moisture enters southern California from the deserts of Arizona. Already some of the prelude to this moisture surge is entering San Diego County in the form of brief moderate showers.

We have a 30% chance of isolated thunderstorms for the day. It will be about 10 degrees above average so we might end up getting something.

There is a high pressure system in the four corners region that will help to keep the monsoonal moisture flow into the lower deserts for a few days. This gives us a good chance for storms through Saturday. We have not had any significant rain since May and Feb before that so it would be nice to see some!

Southwest Victoria, Australia
THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL OUTLOOK

Friday Evening: There is a 00% chance of thunderstorms across Victoria this evening and overnight. The southwest winds have eased and a high pressure ridge will stabalise the weather further and shift the SW winds to the NW.

Saturday: Generally again there is a 00% chance for thunderstorms across Victoria, however there is a less than 05% chance in the far southwest corner at night.

FURTHER OUTLOOOK
There are signs there may be some further storm development about the western and northeastern areas Sunday and the start of next week... Tuesday/Wednesday is looking best for statewide (across Victoria) storms.
Further out around Thursday and Friday looks right for storms with another low pressure system developing!

Southwest Victoria, Australia
THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL OUTLOOK

Saturday: Generally again there is a 00% chance for thunderstorms across Victoria, however there is a less than 05% chance in the far southwest corner at night.

Sunday: There is the risk (15%) for isolated afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms about the west during the afternoon and evening. The best spots for storm development are the southwest and Wimmera districts... No severe activity with the storms is expected at this stage... It is because there will be increasing instability and streaming cloud from a low pressure system in the Bight...

FURTHER OUTLOOOK
There are signs there may be some further storm development about the western and northeastern areas at the start of next week... Tuesday/Wednesday is looking best for statewide (across Victoria) storms.
Further out around Thursday and Friday looks right for storms with a strong system.
