Hi, America! I thought I'd take a brief break from the Texas threads to come talk with you a little bit. So let's gather for a few moments while I have this thought. Winter is in its final stretches in some parts of the country, and spring is a few weeks away. Due to a very mild winter in Texas (well, milder than usual, anyway), I got to thinking about what it might be like this summer. What about where you live? Will you experience unseasonably warm weather? How about unseasonably cool? How about heavy drought? Heavy rain perhaps?
Now, mind you, I have not looked at an almanac yet, but I would not be surprised if my area ends up experiencing the hottest summer on record. Maybe, but maybe not. What do you folks think will happen in your area this summer?? Let's hear from you now on this. Let 'er rip!
If it's going to be as hot where I live as I mentioned it would be, I'm holding out hope that there would be long periods of soaking rains before the heat sets in. We had good rains last year, so I'm hoping for two years in a row of good fortune.
I picked hotter than heck. We broke the record last year for number of days 110' or higher. I suspicion that would have something to do with the fact this is a desert. ;-)
This is a cool poll, Case. I voted for the same as usual. Our summers are warm enough, but not nearly long enough. I just voted on my own immediate area though. The Black Hills have had about seven years of drought. Last year wasn't quite so bad cause they did get some rain, but it was so brown out that way compared to normal. I hope they start getting plenty of rain.
