I awakened to a wonderful Fall day with temps in the 70's, slight breeze and plenty of sunshine. What a great day to open windows and air out the house.

This is the type of weather that I love, and find myself coming up with excuse after excuse to venture outside.

From afternoon walks to lazy treks to the lake fishing, to just sitting out on the front porch and relaxing with a good book, I can find no fault with weather like this.

Since there are people here from all areas of the country and beyond, I was curious as to what you guys consider a beautiful Fall day. What type of activities do you do outdoors, and do you find you spend more time outdoors when the weather carries a hint of Fall?

I live in Florida there is no fall here.

The temp depends on the activities, swimming I like 90`s walking or fishing 70`s are good.

I`ll still walk and fish in 90`s but 70`s are most comfortable.

The last few years Alphaman, we have had really warm Falls and hardly any winter, so these temps are so very welcome to us. I don't know if I could handle not having some cooler temps, the heat gets to me as I get older.

My autumn days are very inconsistent~both year to year and day to day.

Early autumn I could wake up to 55 degrees and have Indian summer where my daytime high hits mid 70s to 80 degrees. OR I could wake up to 40 degrees and hope it makes it to 60.

Late autumn I can wake up to below freezing temps, sleet, snow, ice, etc. Those days I just keep my fingers crossed that it gets above freezing or~Heaven for bid that it could hit 40 for the high.

My ideal autumn would be to wake up to 75 degrees and have 85 for my daytime high.

In early Autumn, exactly what we had today....50 in the morning and 79 in the afternoon, clear skies, light winds, low humidity. Thanksgiving time I love a frosty morning near 30 degrees, ending up at 50-55 with partly cloudy skies and a steady breeze.
