Anyone else here in the southeast get thunderstorms that did not expect them?

We were not even forecasted for storms, but on my drive home from work this evening, it was terrible. It was like an electrical storm with frequent cloud to ground lightning and torrential rains. Strange for that weather with temperatures in the upper 40s at the time.

A mansion about 20 miles southwest of here was struck by lightning and burned...
