Definitely rain! It's a definite indicator that it's fairly warm outside AND you don't have to shovel rain.

I probably can't vote twice so I'll just say both! I love summer storms but rain in late Nov./Dec. is very depressing! At least snow is white and pretty (when it first falls)!

Gently falling snow and a white lawn are so much prettier than pelting rain and a soggy yard.
I can say that because we don't get enough snow to have to bother with shoveling.

I prefer 75+ F weather, so obviously...

Besides, rain "shovels" itself.

While I do not like cold weather in particular, I find snow quite exciting coming down thick and fast. In fact it is still snowing here lightly as I speak after a brief heavy snow shower!

I find boring old rain tedious and annoying unless it is very heavy convective showers or thunderstorms. Really heavy rain is awesome and I remember back to our wettest autumn on record in England, that of 2000, when one time it rained so hard everything disappeared from view in the rain, a total whiteout, heavier than I've even seen in the tropics. Can't forget that!

I usually prefer snow, but only in smaller amounts. Once it's more than 4-6 inches, I'll take the rain instead!

Don't see snow very often so I will pick snow as long as I don't have to drive in it.

rain ( providing temps are warm enough so it doesn't turn over to freezing rain)

reasons-----don't have to shovel
------------easier to drive in / on
------------no snowplows on the road to watch out for
------------less cost to taxpayer ( don't have to plow rain)
-----------don't have to deal with it twice ( shoveling it , then when it melts and makes everything muddy)

Rain.

But I wouldn't mind a once in a century snow.

This.

However, snow in the summer would annoy me more than rain in the winter, so I guess I could lean towards rain.
OTOH, I look forward to snow more than rain because rain is much more common, and it doesn't look as good as snow.
