Amazing what humidity can do.
We had a string of sunny days with highs near 80, low humidity ( 30%-40%) and a breeze.
Yesterday we had the same, but the humidity was in the low 50's and no breeze.
It felt much hotter than the previous days.
The posters from Florida and Texas that get higher temps and higher humidity than us must really notice it ( or are used to it)
Surprising how humidity rising just 10 points can make the day feel much hotter.
I think it's a myth that we get used to the high humidity; we can definitely tell the difference. We were in New Mexico one summer for 3 weeks and it was 90ish with an 11% humidity. I felt great! But I figure that people out there don't die, they just mummify!
The high humidity isn't limited to Florida and Texas either...look at the posts from Alabama and Memphis, TN...I think it's all over the south...it probably just lasts longer in our states.
