I have just witnessed the most epic lightning storm I have ever seen in my life.

went on from 11:30pm to around 1:40am, mum was begging me to go inside but I was just mesmerised. It was a truly incredible experience, literally non-stop lightning, several bolts per second at some stages, incredible strobing, some bolts strobing up to 10 times and directly overhead. Lots of very close bolts, including a few that must've been about 2 houses away.

Seen a storm like that only once in the UK in Berkshire on July 3rd 1999 in which there were 150 lightning strikes in just over two minutes in one town not far away. Happens every 1,000 years in England and I was lucky enough to be there.
