I remember a cloudy period in Illinois and it seems it was close to 3 weeks, wasn't in Spring though, I'm pretty sure it was late fall. I remember Tom Skilling from WGN commenting on it or otherwise I would not really pay attention. Shows you what I know, I checked and it was 2 weeks not 3 but it was total clouds, not partly cloudy, no sunshine!
I would if I had to live in perpetual sunshine with no variations, boring! I love watching the clouds move in and across the sky, I try to remember the different types, usually I have to get my book.

Reason: Addition
I would say maybe 3 or 4 days. Its been rainy (rained 9 days straight) here, but there have been some peeks of sun and moon during that rainy spell. Today is the first day we didnt have rain, but that changes tomorrow, when a chance of thunderstorms come back and is in the forecast all the way through.... typical southeast summer weather though.
June 2003 the sun only came out 4 days that entire month in SAN DIEGO. This may surprise some but May and June can be VERY OVERCAST along coastal Southern CA, we call it "May Gray and June gloom". This year hasn't been too bad so far but some years it can be bad.
It's called May gray and June gloom here which is kind of our winter at the beach. Cloudy and then windy with a few hours of sunshine in the middle of the day.
