Here the highest temp this winter so far is 19.6C. Makes me feel uneasy that an Island town at 46º latitude can achieve similar temps while a city sitting nearly 10º closer to the equator on a big, desert landmass (that mostly sits within the tropics) can't muster any better.

This is a town on the very southern end of New Zealand's south island, at latitude 46º south. I have no idea how they could get such a temp at this time of year. That's actually warmer than their January average of 18C!

Did you see my last post?

Yesterday at 8 and 9 pm, 29 C with a dewpoint of 25 C,
Yep, I'm hogging all the humidity.

*And that was just before one of our most spectacular t-storm...
News reports said we had 18,000-strikes-per-hour.

^^soooo jealous right about now..

I doubt Melbourne has clocked up 10 strikes in the last 4.5 billion years, let alone 18,000 in 1 hour.

Awesome news, ILNC, woohoo! Gorgeous day, blue skies, haven't been out though. Yesterday I was going to go over to Manitowoc to watch the Badger leave, total fog so I came back home.

So strange, having sun at my house, total fog along the immediate shoreline, just blocks away. I'm so used to fog horn I wasn't paying attention, it was going. Later it moved inland, I love watching it roll in, you can see it coming, floating by, I find it exciting every time even though it happens frequently.

We're in the hot in Manitowoc 85 and 70 in TR pattern. Funny part about this is, people hear it is going to be hot so they come to our beach, and it doesn't get that warm!

Thumbs up And the good weather continues...

I'm pleased to announce there are no overnight lows in the next 5 days below 65 F (18 C).

Daytime highs are ranging from 79-82 F (26-28 C),
with lows from 65-67 F (18-19 C)
which probably means the dewpoints will never drop below 62 F (17 C)
and it won't drop below 70 F (21 C) before midnight.

Better still, aside from the chance of scattered storms today, our 5-day forecast is mostly sunny and dry.

I hope I get this right.... our weatherman says that a partly cloudy day is sunnier than a partly sunny day!

That's funny, Tuit. I guess I don't understand it, but I'm not a weatherman so.....

ILNC, that is wonderful news!!! Having your spouse in the hospital is actually harder then being the spouse who's in the hospital. I'm glad he's home and on the mend.
