Phoenix's record high for today (September 19th) is 107, set back in 1962 ... however, we are easily going to break it. The forecast high for today is 109. At 12:51 PM, it's already 106 ... so it could easily climb to 110 degrees for the final high temperature. If that happens, it would be the latest date that Phoenix reached 110. This is certainly nothing to brag about, and I'm looking forward to some cooler weather very soon. Hope this hot weather doesn't last into October like it has in some years!

We have had three straight days of record highs in Phoenix: 109 on the 18th, 111 on the 19th, and 107 on the 20th. Hopefully, it will be the last of the heat wave for a while. Temperatures are supposed to drop at least 10 to 15 degrees this week with a chance of thunderstorms.
