I can't remember exactly...

Mid 1990's I believe was one time, 1989 was the other time.
*Since then we've probably had 4-6 days at 98 F, and 10-15 days at 95+ F though.

Our summers aren't usually "devoid of heat" though,
we have a very low chance of hot weather occuring with less than 40% humidity,
so that usually pumps the heat indexes up 10-20 F above our highest temps.

Definitely below average. We've had a few days where the temps were above avg., but we didn't get summer weather until the 3rd week of June.

Just an example~I'll guess that 71 was my high today and our average is 87. Our dewpoint and humidity have often been quite low this summer, too. Now today isn't the norm, but it has been cooler then normal.

Same here, we've only had 3 warm, above normal days and of those just one where it didn't cool down below 70 until way after midnite.

Yesterday was warm but on the weird side and it didn't last. Today is cooler and tomorrow will be much cooler courtesy of a front from Canada!

Well, for the most part, highs have been near average, but lows have been well below average from time to time over the past 4 weeks. It has been as cool as the upper 50s about two or three times over the past 4 weeks, which is unusual for us. More 50s for lows forecasted this weekend for lows, which will likely break records. The cold fronts seem to be going much farther south than normal.... whatever it is, I think its also the cause for the lack of tropical systems in the Gulf/Atlantic. Its heading into late July and we have not had the first system yet. El Nino?

Not so last night though... low was 70°, which is only a couple of degrees above normal.

Every Toronto winter is "a brutal one."

Once it drops below 20 F, for me it might as well be -20 F.
they're both cold enough I have to go out of my way to keep from "hurting;"
simply adding a winter coat, hat and gloves before I go outside won't cut it if I need to be out for 15+ minutes.

Once you're already putting on 2-layers of everything, what's a 3rd layer?
They're both annoying.
And every winter requires 2-layers for most people, at least some of the time.

The main thing that's noticeable here is the length of winter.
Milder winters might start later or end sooner.

Below average in Indiana. Especially the humidity, which makes a big difference.
Thank God for it!
We have a beautiful summer, so far. Green grass in July, without watering it, it's amazing!

No "ribeyes" on the grill in Toronto...

Two winters ago seasonal temps and RECORD SNOW,
Last winter below-seasonal temps with above-average snow.

Last summer had seasonal temps with RECORD RAIN,
This summer has slightly-below seasonal temps with above average rain...

If we're following a cycle,
I think Toronto's due for a warmer AND drier than average Winter and Summer.
(haven't had either in years!)
