Richard, how do you feel about all the idiots who preach "global warming?"

Don't you live in Lincoln?

Wow, no way can Toronto touch that kind of summer cold!

We "can" get a high of 14 C (57 F) in summer, but would only last one day.
The days leading up to and following such a cold event would have to have highs at least 16-17 C (61-63 F)
That and within 2-3 days before and after, it would have to be 18+ C (65+ F) at least once.

Richard, how do you feel about all the idiots who preach "global warming?"

I think it's putting 2+2 and making 6 because humans have only been "putting pollution into the atmosphere" about 200 years and given the amounts we're talking about it would not and does not explain any of the temperature increases fully.

The earth has many thousands of years ago been a lot hotter than it is today too. Some fool on a website claims the earth could get so hot (by 2-3c) it will explode. This guy is a moronic pseudo-scientist and self proclaimed "spiritualist" who doesn't in fact have a thread of bonafide evidence for his outrageous beliefs. He clearly didn't do his research to realise that the earth has infact been much hotter than it is today (more than 2-3c hotter!) and also that if so called "global warming "is real and destroys anything it would be humans that die not the earth.

Read this and laugh:

Global Warming - can Earth explode?

This idiot basically believes in short that hu8mans, in all of 200 years, have done enough to nearly cause the earth to explode. He needs a rubber room and a strait jacket.

Further more like all of these fake know-nothings who pretend they know it all he writes in a very condescending manner as if he is somehow better or more intelligent than everyone else. What a loser.

Just for LOLs

"Tom's theory can withstand scientific scrutiny if they were to scientifically approach it"

A quote from the forum about his "theory". What a douche. I added the bold/underlining.

My pet peeve is people using anecdotal evidence or extremely limited data set or a perceived trend while trying to prove or disprove something they usually don't understand. Scientists (real ones, not the one above) compile data from thousands of weather stations around the globe, including measurements of ocean conditions, data from satellites, polar ice cores, tree rings, sediment samples, etc, taken over long periods of time (decades). Only then can something like global warming be intelligently talked about.

Needless to say, climatology is very complex and deferring to scientific opinion on the matter is a wise thing to do (as opposed to calling people "idiots"). The fact that your city has too cold a climate for your liking has no bearing on whether global warming is real or not.

Lows later this week will be in the 40s in central NH.
The first taste of autumn is coming early this August.

I wish you guys would take your global warming debate over to another forum and stop the ridiculous name calling, as stated by MrMarbles, doesn't fit in with "is it cool this summer".

Granite, our overnight lows are to be in the upper 40's later this week, too!

Moderator cut: This thread is closed. PLEASE take your global warming disputes over to Politics and Other Controversies. There are several threads over there concerning this. I don't care if you believe in it or not, but most of us are just here to enjoy a bit of chit chat about the weather and to be friends. Thank you.
