William, do you mean you like cooler weather then you have? I've wondered that cause of your cute, fanning emoticons.

It's chilly this morning again. BUT we should warm up to 50 and then drop the next few days.

It was only 49 yesterday

Avg. is 67

Record was 89 in 1980

The low was 31

Avg. is 39

Record was 16 in 2000

Smile Friday - October 9, 2009`s - Historical Climate Data !

Hey Jammie : Sometimes the Dakota`s has an Excellent Climate : mainly during the summer : So does Tennessee : But Tennesse has had some real cold climate extremes too.
The Cold snapes does not last as long here as it does there.
Over all I think that Tennessee`s Climate is Warmer than the Dakota`s. : Warmer is my Favorite.

Not saying that I am old : But it is not as easy for me to cope with cold temps as it is with warm temps.
I like the name Devils Lake that is up there.
Interesting but Cool.
How did it get that name ?

I think there is a thread for this topic and I may make a comment about this there sometime.

Oh, I like warmer temps, too. It's not really age for me~I've always hated the cold. I remember adults nearly having to push me out the door to, "Get some fresh air". Fresh air, yeah right when it hurts you lungs to breathe in those subzero temps.

Devil's Lake~I've never been there, but that's a good question as to how it got it's name. I live in southeastern So. Dak. and we've never really traveled much in No. Dak. It's too cold up there. But you're right~our summers are generally very nice, but it skipped us this year.

Yesterday we only hit 39 and had some pretty nasty windchills.

Our avg. was 66

Record was 93 in 1928.

Our low was 25

Avg. was 38

Record was 15 in 1906.

Hey Jammie : I saw on Radar that it was Snowing near You. If it snowed here in October it would be a record earliest snowfall.

Historical Climate Weather: So they say that the baseball game between the Denver team and Phillies was the "coldest baseball game" in the history of baseball. I had to put it on just to see a game in such cold weather.........I didn't last until 2AM though.
