Hi.

I am assuming this has probably been discussed before but I was just curious for opinions of places in the U.S. with 4 true seasons ?

Western Washington.

I think we have the best weather anywhere.

Wet, sometimes snowy winters, but not deep freeze. Usually mild. Frost at night, above freezing by day. Most snows last a day or two... Every few years, a heavier snowfall that lasts a week or more.

The most glorious springtimes. May and June, this is the most green lush beautiful place on the continent.

Dry almost always sunny summers, most days in the 70s and 80s - occasional short heat waves with higher. Almost guaranteed no rain for July and August. Stays light til almost 10.

Good amount of fall color and lots of sunny late summer autumn days.

Most of the US has at least 4 distinct seasons. In and around the Denver area we have 7, based on temperature and precipitation patterns.

The dry side of the Olympic Peninsula in Washington. Port Townsend and Sequim have mild temperatures all year long with less than 20 inches of precipitation.

Funny you should mention that very place...we lived there a few years ago and there was no 'dry side' really,except in summer. Winter was snowy or flooding. And if you go to the other side of the Cascades it's just cold;

Well, not "dry" outside of the summer season technically, it is still a very mild climate for its latitude, far milder than anywhere east of the Rockies.

This looks surprisingly similar to some rivers around the Denver area, although due to the drier climate most trees are found near rivers or on north-facing slopes.

Midwinter: early December to late January - severe cold snaps from polar vortices, relatively low dry snowfall. Average temperature 1ºC.
Chinook season: late January to early March - more snowfall (often wet), no severe cold snaps although warm days may still happen. Average temperature 2ºC -> 4ºC.
Muddy spring: early March to early May - heavy wet snow or rain, river levels rising. Most blooming happens late in this season. Average temperature 4ºC -> 14ºC.
Green summer: early May to early July - afternoon thunderstorms, peak of wildflowers. Average temperature 14ºC -> 24ºC.
Gold summer: early July to late August - little rain, leaves remain green. Average temperature 24ºC -> 21ºC.
Indian summer: late August to early October - little rain, leaves changing color. Peak garden harvests. Average temperature 21ºC -> 13ºC. Was famously cancelled in 2020 by snow on 9/8.
Late autumn: early October to early December - dry but often with the first snow, leaves falling off. Average temperature 13ºC -> 2ºC.
