Thanks. Well, after the recent frost and freeze in the southeast after those pics were taken, I am sure that all-green look will soon change.

Yeah, those Camrys are nice, but thats not my car. Its a 2010 Camry that had 6900 miles that I rented from the airport to visit relatives in South Carolina. I hated the way the transmisson shifted around looking for gears. Maybe its normal though for those cars. Its only 3 hours drive away, but my car is 18 years old and while it runs perfectly, I dont like driving it that far. Its less wear and tear on my cars anyway and the roads are so rough in Asheville, I refuse to drive my Mercedes on that roadway.

The colors are really getting nice here. We haven't even had a frost either. Regardless though I'd say we are just a week - 10 days away from peak color.

The trees are just beginning to change color here.

Default NH and VT

Here in New London, NH, we're past peak by about a week, still plenty of color left, hasn't been too windy.

At my camp in Barton, VT, about 25 mi. S of Canada, peak is last week in September.

Mark

A friend of mine snapped this this evening on the highway (about 15 miles from my house)... as you can see we are peak or darn near it! Photo is blurry, but the colors are stunning...

I don't know what is but when I woke up there was so much yellow. It seems like it's being pushed later and later back, I remember there used to be a ton of leaves on the ground on Halloween, I highly doubt it will be like that this year. I saw this pretty scene on Friday, one tree was lime green, two others were fire truck-red, and the rest were this perfect yellow. It looked so fake.

How dare the trees change colors without my consent though?

We're at the peak right now in SE Pa. About 2 weeks earlier than last year and more normal like years past.

We're getting close to peak, I think, although with all the wind lately, trees are losing leaves big time!

I went for a ride yesterday and the countryside was gorgeous, lots of color!
