dxiweodwo - I do not want to sound like I`m making you inaccrate but The National Weather Service does NOT Consider September a Summer Month.
Rather September is a Fall Month.
The Summer Ended On the National Weather Service`s Climate Records August 31 st.
The Summer Months are June , July & August.
Its easier to keep up with all seasons that way.
So your September rainfall amounts will be one of your fall season 2009`s amounts which will be totaled up on Novenber 30 th.
The National Weather Service has done this since they started.

Oh lol well here in South FL September has the same average highs/lows as July so it'd be ridiculous to count as "fall" down here....we're definitely still in the Wet season, I consider summer the "wet season" which lasts roughly May 15th-October 15th. I think for most of the U.S at least 75% of September can qualify as "summer" by temperature, I know "meteorological summer" is June 1st-August 31st but in my view for most places in the U.S it's more like May 21st-September 21st.

Ok. The National Weather Service made those rules Not Me.
Those rules are for ALL of their stations World Wide.
Not all seasons start on the 21st either.
This way you can keep all seasons evenly divided.
However if you want to put September as part of your summer months go ahead.
The National Weather Service will Not honor it.
I hope you do not got upset with me for this reply.
I`m simply trying to keep the records even or in the right order of seasons. That is ALL.
It is exciting talking to a Weather Friend from Florida by the way .
