looks really similar to Hope, BC, but with lower sunshine hours than I would expect Hope to have. Must be the same region, but slightly wetter and cloudier.
Right on the money for the region, however, think... west.
Here's another one... Once this is guessed correctly, I'll make a rate thread for it. I'm curious. Here's a hint though: The population is over 1,000,000 people.
Good try. Fox Glacier certainly has the right kind of rainfall profile (though it gets somewhat more precip. days), but the mean annual temp at its settlement would be about 11.5C, significantly higher than at my site. Fox is also cloudier than the mystery place.
No more tries? The location is not west of the main mountain ranges.

OK, nothing happening yet, so I'll throw in this New Zealand location - see if a non-NZ forumer can get it, with hints as necessary.
Additional info: sunshine % varies little in first 9 months of the year, lower in the last 3. Yearly average is about 50-51%. Precip. days (1mm or more) average about 153, somewhat less than typical for a high rainfall location here.
