How would NYC weather be if hypothetically the jet stream dips and stays well south of the NE all spring and summer long? How would NYC weather look like in this scenario weather wise and temperature wise .

3 words from me... I would love!

Yeah, Summer Average would be much cooler, much less humid, and drier. Less storms too. But might be more cloudy which would mean warmer nights which may affect the average.
August would be fall like especially if a new Canadian airmass comes inside the trough.

Less thunderstorms? 60s 70s or even 50s as highs? Your thoughts?

For July Max 70s, Low 50s. Fronts would be pushed down south too.

Scroll through the summer 2017 thread. Should be fun to sit down and read through.

Look at the surface map and temps from July 30th

Go through 1st week of August too. Or Early June

With the rumors of the effects of the upcoming solar minimum and all the volcanic activity worldwide, I am beginning to suspect that this spring and summer will be an epic fail of a spring and summer.
