The Poconos in Pa got a foot of snow right before halloween last year and are getting an even earlier shot of snow today. I wonder if that will bring the fall leaves down early?

I was in Des Moines this weekend I was surprised to see how much snow they had, more than where I live Two Rivers, Wisconsin. Driving on an angle from T.R. to Iowa, you could see the path of the first major storm. It was funny how it left some places with well over a foot and others a few inches.

Apparently it is.

Not feeling the love here this most crappy of "summer" months.
Summer consisted of November and then catastrophically collapsed as we hit December

It'll come back in January or February I'm sure.

Winter's been pretty close to average here in Anchorage. 25" of snow on the ground and temps mostly in the teens.
