FLAGSTAFF, Ariz., Dec. 10 (UPI) --We survived the blizzard of 2009 -- mentally, physically and it's worth repeating, mentally.
All four humans, three birds and four dogs made it through the nearly three feet of snow, roaring winds, intermittent power outages, snow and ice impaired satellite dish and most important of all, an already-grounded teenager in a permanent snit over the injustice of double jeopardy at the hands of Mother Nature.

We got a little bit of your weather here in Prescott/Prescott Valley. The other night, it sounded like a hurricane was coming through! It's the worst I've seen in the 5 years I've lived in this part of Arizona.
And Phoenix (I used to live there), OMG!! I couldn't believe their weather. I don't remember it ever being like that when I used to live there. Wow!!

It was quite a wind storm! I know that northern and eastern AZ received heavy snowfall out of it, but the NWS was actually predicted heavy rains and flooding in the lower elevations (including the Phoenix area). If I recall, only the far northern parts of the Phoenix metro area received heavy rain, but it was mostly light to moderate rain in the rest of the Valley.
i predicted a brutal winter this year..it's just getting started, get ready for the worst to come global warming at it's peak
Maybe we could burn copies of Al Gore's book "An Inconvient Truth" to keep warm .
