Weatherfan2: Can you post some snow pics?

Trouble is I go to work in Manchester every day (where there is hardly any snow) and I leave Buxotn in darkness and arrive in darkness, so I only have night photos which aren't nearly as good. But these couple of pics should give some idea of the snow depth.

Nope it's not snowing, it's 60 degrees and we're under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning.

I don't recall ever having a Severe Thunderstorm Warning in December.

Those are great pics Weatherfan2.

Wow, that's some snow, probably more than I've ever seen in this country apart from on mountains. If you get more on top of that like you probably will I bet some of that lot will still be there at Christmas. Interesting that your train to work still runs through that as London news was all about trains being cancelled for 1/4 of that much snow (thankfully I live walking distance from work, but the pavement on my street is like a skating rink).

It is trying but just light, fluffy stuff, nothing to get excited about, we don't have any on the ground, a little bit behind on our first measureable snowfall.

Light, dry snow for about 12 hours here but isn't really adding much. Roughly two inches here, drifts a little higher, temperature roughly -2C/28F. We're probably one of the least snowy places in the country at the moment.

Yup. We've got about 3.75 inches in Floyd about an hour south west of Roanoke. Roads were very slippery this afternoon.

Nope, but we had flurries earlier.

Edit: The flurries have returned.

Yep. All through last night and flurries continue all day today in Toronto to produce a decent layer on the ground.

Still doesn't look as deep as in Weatherfan2's photos, but perhaps we'll get there in a few days if things keep up.
