Yeah. It's been snowing I've noticed since around 9-10 am. This is also the first accumulating snow on the ground this season.
It's just flakes now as I type, but it's on and off now. Just by eyeballing out the window, it looks like an inch or so on the ground so far, perhaps more to come.
One downside to this bloody snow and ice is that the roads to Macclesfield are closed, and other roads are too dangerous, meaning I won't be going to work, and I need to earn money.
Hot weather doesn't do that. Having walked over 2 miles today anyway in snow and gales I can tell you I'd far rather do it in 100°F temperatures.

Well, if you're a commuter on a train, hot weather can (and usually does) play havoc with the rails. But then again, even a leaf can cause British rail to come to a halt.

True, problem here is our public transport system is built on the cheap, which is probably why we also have so many accidents caused by track failures and plastic tracks which melt in 21°C temperatures.
Our rail system is the oldest in the world, so it's no surprise really..
Anyway, no snow here, but might snow tomorrow morning.
