I've been watching a rugby league match from Yorkshire on TV this afternoon and a couple of times the commentators mentioned the heat...I looked it up and it was 16C/61F and overcast, not even average temperatures

I'm very happy to have a laptop that I can check on the weather from while on the road.

Your union team might be playing in those sort of conditions shortly, if we have a cold spring here.

Very happy with today's weather. After a -3 C low it climbed up to 19 C in the afternoon with not a single cloud in sight and just a gentle breeze.

But the extended forecast looks miserable from Thursday onwards -- overcast, windy, and rainy for a whole week with temps failing to reach 10 C / 50 F. I'm not looking forward to that.

Happy I'm out of the South for good! This weather I'm experiencing really does feel fall-like compared to where I was.
