What, seriously?! They are ridiculous on there, although it does look like we might see some hot weather.
I wouldn't be surprised to see it downgraded massively though.

Yea.

As if that would really happen. I hope it doesn't downgrade. I'd love to record 30c the last time I seen that was 2006!! It really is impossible for proper hot weather here because everytime the hot weather builds the atlantic arrives!!

In recent years it's even seemed impossible here. I'm sure it will change anyway, it always does.

I don't care what they say, the first few days of July look complete crap in Buxton, with highs of 11-14°C, then 20°C right at the end of the reliable timeframe. The so called "heatwave" is looking very ordinary anyway on the latest runs. Nothing interesting at all to my mind.

I bet it gets downgraded into nothingness. Or else it will be granted to England as always. You know its all fine and dandy but us folk up here never ever get hot weather. Like maybe once in every 10 years and even then its only 28c. I suppose thats what I get for living at this latitude 70 miles from Atlantic ocean.

I suppose I should be thankful I don't live in iceland or the shetlands where the record high isn't even above 25c. (I have already reached 25c this year.)

Using GFS, my max temperatures would be:

20C
21C
24C
23C
27C
27C

Which would be fairly standard in a typical summer, or even subpar for a 'warm spell'. Guess we'll just wait and see. If that did come to pass though, I doubt people would be complaining.

Hooooraaaaay, it's July.

How wonderful. My predictions for the month:

Thunder: There will be none.
Temperature: Probably about 2 degrees below average, with a high of only 21 degrees all month.
Sun: None
Rain: 500mm.

Actually they were saying that 40C is possible in parts of France.

And someone asked hypothetically if we had 20C+ uppers over the UK what temperatures could that potentially bring & 35C-40C was mentioned...

No one said it was going to reach 40C in the UK during the forthcoming spell of warm weather expected over the next couple of weeks.

Nice to see it isn't just on this forum that you don't read threads properly...
