When I was in Florida I was walking on a Pathway by the beach and this massive turtle came walking out infront of me. Had a shell over 2 feet long.

I remember seeing Muscovy Ducks(?) in Florida, they were massive, and a little scary.

There are lots of those here. Nearly as big as geese and like hissing at people. Never seen them anywhere else in England, just here in Buxton.

They were probably introduced here into the Pavilion Garden by some eccentric person in the victorian era to make it seem more "exotic".

Haha wow, same thing happened to me in Florida too. On the same trip I saw two separate people who I didn't even know were in Florida at the time.

Yea I seen a girl in Newark airport too.

Its weird as we are 4,000 miles away. Alot of people i know visit here every year so probably not rare.

That era was full of idiots introducing European (and some Asian) plants and wildlife. There was one guy that introduced every bird mentioned in Shakespeare.
