The Muscovy ducks seem to lead a fairly calm and peaceful existence here thankfully, provided you don't get too close.

possibility of a string of triple digit heat days here in LA starting in July, Mexico plays tommorow, going on vacation to Mexico soon (Vallarta and to my hometown), life is good.

They were probably introduced here into the Pavilion Garden by some eccentric person in the victorian era to make it seem more "exotic".
The ones I saw were bigger than any goose I've ever seen. Definitely the largest bird I've come across, next to the ostrich. And they were a little territorial (or just curious), enough to push me away lol.

One of the (few) good things about summer: the rodeo. Had a good time there this evening. And weather was good for it. Cooled off nicely.
