Well, it was still warmer than average for Melbourne, wasn't it? And it was definitely warmer than any summer months in where I live

After the winter they had...I'm sure they'd be gushing over those warm temperatures.

Wow....isn't March equivalent to Septmeber in the northern hemisphere? That looks eerily similar to an average September in North GA (which is at 33-35 degrees north )

I checked the other averages for their summer months. Definitely cooler than a summer here.

You are correct....however I was talking about September not June-August.....are you talking about September also? Dosen't September average anywhere from the upper 70s to the mid 80s in North GA?

I was mainly talking about the 5 months of Summer. But yes 79 wouldn't be too far from normal for an average high in September in many places in N. Georgia. In fact, Dawsonville's average high in Sept is 79.

I've never said we always average 5 months of summer (some years we are far from 5 months) but the past 5 months have all been above average and the fact is that each of the past 5 months we have had top temps averaging 79F / 26C or above for each month.
IMO temps like that have a summer feel to them. Certainly a lot better than our 59F / 15C average we had in our coldest month of winter last year.
