Looking at the GFS it isn't actually that bad. The cold arrives monday night and stays all week. I thought it wasn't going to arrive at all. -9c uppers, good.
Sharp frosts -7c downwards and a few ice days. Good enough for me. As long as it doesn't get downgraded. Frost tonight, tomorrow night, Monday night, Tuesday night, Wednesday night, Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday night. I think that should freeze the ground up pretty good.
I'm doubting that it will be cold enough in London on Monday for accumalating snow BBC is forecasting snow for the morning and evening but sleet for the afternoon.
Um? It depends if you live in suburbs? I know that if it were to snow here it would lie after all the frosts weve had. Weve got a full week of frosts at least and previous to this we had a frost most days this week so far. Although this wont be as hard as next week.
Yes, Snow doesn't lie in london very often at all thats why I asked.
Do you actually have a garden lol?
No, I have a decent sized balcany we grow plants during the summer. where I live the snow depth is always deeper than Central London (only by a few cm) and stays around longer here.
Ok. So its probably unlikely that you are going to see snow lying? I mean how many frosts have you seen recently?
Since this cold spell started i've seen 2 frosts. We need more days of this cold pattern for snow accumalations monday is too soon.
