Whoever is selling this house must be an idiot, whoever buys it is an even bigger idiot. It literally looks like it was built using sheets of metal.

For a similar price in my city, you could buy this lovely 4 bedroom property.
You better believe it. And the seller is not an idiot, that is the sort of prices that property is going for up there. Look through the website link I posted.... you will be stunned.

$700,000 here would buy a freaking castle.

To be fair, you could make a lot of money from selling houses there. Perhaps I should look into the Western Australian property market?

Yeah except you have to buy 'em first. Good luck with that.

Nah, I could just find pieces of scrap metal and construct a shed in the middle of nowhere.

Wtf does this mean?
Fatal error: Unable to connect to memcache server in [path]/includes/class_datastore.php on line 224

Somebody just sent me a rep how its -10c in Denver on my 4c comment. Yes its ment to be about 12c right now and I am on a island surrounded by a warm ocean current at 150feet you being at 6000feet and at a continent with land the whole way to the Arctic will make a massive massive difference. Hardly any moderation of the air.

Hahahah! What is that house? Looks like it's from a Favela in Rio.

BUILT IN 2011 AND ONE BEDROOM? HAHAHA, priceless.

Well, actually not priceless, that price is preposterous.

Ended up with a 36C max even though it was cloudy, can't say I'm enjoying it, just want it to cool down already.

Well you've never been here and probably have no interest in visiting, you're just assuming there is nothing to see or do or that this city is lacking due to it's geographical isolation. Perth is hardly the centre of the universe, but it's closer than other Australian cities to population centres in Asia and this not the cultural wasteland that some like to characterise us, other Australians and seemingly people around the world seem to often have a bit of a patronising tone whenever they mention this place.

In terms of the high housing prices here it's a pretty simple case of relatively low supply and high demand the city has obviously been in a mining driven economic boom for about 10 years now. Australian housing prices overall are very high by world standards anyway.

House prices in Port Hedland, a small, ugly, dust/chemical stained town in NW Western Australia are to be seen to be believed.....
1.8 million isn't exactly small and the population is increasing at 2.5-3% per year. And Port Hedland, Karratha and the like cannot be compared to Perth, despite popular belief the vast majority of people here do not fly-in, fly-out to the mines or earn anywhere near 100K let alone 200K.
