Looking at the synoptic chart and the 500hpa Geopotential chart in fact the high pressure over greenland (wrong place as usual) is dragging very mild air up there, so they might even get warmer temperatures in their south than buxton (with highs of 5C forecast here). Crazy weather!

Well every year is different in Canada anyways,
would partly explain why maybe 60% of our days have been above avearage since Autumn
(as well as a few sharply below; yo-yo temp patterns are the norm here)
I've never seen weather maps for Greenland; I might want to check them out sometime.
That would suck if uninhabited parts of Greenland's Arctic remained warmer than Buxton-Derbyshire this Spring.
Might aswell tell me you live on the moon mate. The "east coast of the US" is some 3000km long covering 10 states from the tropical Paradise of Miami to the subarctic abyss of Maine.

I think they live near NYC, which has been enjoying a very warm and sunny spring.
So far only a few days have been below average. However it's looking like Mother's Day will be well below average. Forecasting highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s. I'll take it!
