In retrospect, owen said something similar with the whole Spanish-English thing. Looking back at it now, I don't think he was trying to be offensive, but he chose the wrong words. Did I think owen was trying to be offensive at this instance? No, but again, what he needs to learn is tact, something he really lacks.

Owen, I really suggest before you post to think over what you're going to say if it might be offensive or not. Take your sister's husband, boyfriend, or whatever he is. What are you going to say? I'm not racist, my sister has a Negro boyfriend/husband or I'm not racist, my sister's boyfriend/husband is black? In both instances you said the equivalent of my sister has a Negro bf/husband.

LOL. You don't know how good you've got it. When I was growing up, my bedtime on school nights was 9 pm, and even during summer, I rarely stayed up past 9:30 or 10...lol. Come to think of it, that's when I go to bed now. Just the lark in me, I suppose.

When I was in upper Michigan last July, when it stayed light well past 10 pm, I found myself going to bed while it was still daylight. A bit odd, but when I get sleepy, even the midnight sun isn't gonna keep me awake...lol.

Same here, summer just does not want to let us go, and I've enjoyed such great nights the past week because of the cool temps

Bed at 9? Lucky. My mom was very Puerto Rican about bed time. In bed at 8 she was too used to it getting pitch black by 9 even in summer, we're not in Puerto Rico anymore!
