More depressing news. Just read the latest forecast from a weather site I subscribe to (specializing in the SE US), he's calling for bone-dry conditions for the next 2 weeks, plus a dome of high pressure is expected to build in next weekend, pushing temps even higher than they are now. Damn, this endless summer is really ticking me off right now.

He did say we might get a blast of fall around the 22nd, but I'll believe it when I see it. It's times like this when I really, really hate my climate.

About the same as I often feel in March up here since I get sick of cold. Winters of south Georgia (or at least the same onset of spring) matched with our current summers would be a great combo, IMO>

Of course, I don't suggest it, but £7.2 in food a day doesn't sound that little. If you make your own food, you can get away with £2.5 daily.
Well that budget wouldn't last for me. Today I just spent £6 on Doritos and Chocolate.

So all this homeworks is due for Monday, or the whole week ahead? How many hours of homework a week do you think you'll be averaging now (all work done outside school)?

Back in my day, a teacher assigning homework to do over the weekend risked starting a student revolt, so it didn't happen often...LOL. Being a student back in my day sure was sweet.

That's insane - if you spend 35 hours a week in school (about what students spend here, with a short lunch), that's 35 hours, plus 20 - that's 55 hours a week. Most jobs only require 40 hours a week, so what's the deal with making kids work 55 hours a week? Guess they make it up to the adult folk with the 7 weeks of holiday a year...lol.

It's hard work though.
Alot of people do more than that. I am sitting down to do three hours of studying now (obviously brokenup).
But you don't get good grades without work. It's only eight months, you have to sacrifice your time.

Think:
1. Sacrifice time and good results.
2. Socialise all the time and get bad results.

I'm choosing option 1.

And I had 12 weeks holidays. It will be 15 this year.

My calves ache, I am starting to feel drunk after drinking hours ago, and my laptop sounds like a GE90 spooling up. What's not to like?
