Bingley averages 5/0 for both January and February, and is typically damp, overcast and windy. It would be interesting to compare the feel of a winter afternoon there with a dry, sunny 1C in Neiland.

I'd guess since the mornings are freezing and damp there's a good chance of light snow flurries?
I think it still would feel a bit milder. But I remember encountered 2°C or so in the afternoon in England and it felt a bit chillier than it would usually at a similar temperature back home.
You only have to look at temp differences over past few weeks.
I fail to see the link. We're only in early November. Also, if your place is far colder than Yeovilton, I wonder what words should be used to describe the difference between, say, Harbin and NI.
Wasn't long ago you were complaining about the heat. Suck it up.
Lol I'm happy as a clam right now. Around 10°C and dry. I'd be even better if it was 15°C, but this'll do. Mornings are around or below freezing, though, but that's only a minor annoyance having to defrost my front and rear windshields
Weird. Was 34°F earlier this evening now 41°F. Overnight low will probably be warmer than our evening temperature.
