Hmm, now when I compared the charts from Church Crapton and Turdku, the extended summer lows are quite interesting. Yes, I know I'm on the coast, but we had a freeze in both May and September (2 in May), and the avg low was higher in May and just a degree lower in September here. But depends here from year to year as well when comparing months. July 2001 had an avg hi of 24.6C with a low of 15.0C, but July 2005 had a high of 24.5C but low of 12.8C!
But as the whole of UK is very maritime, I find those lows quite interesting.

19.8C/10.1C was the average for May-Sept in Leeds, 20.5C/11.0C in Turfffffffffffffffffff. Ok, just a 0.2C difference in diurnal ranges. Hmm, whatever, it looked bigger at first.

I know, I know. I'm not saying that either, it's just... it's against all my liberal views.

And I don't care about easterlys either because most of the British isles do absolutely awful in them when it comes to snow.
Yes, I am selfish because I want snow and don't care if you get any or not. Tough titties. Ger over it.

May was cold, but stable. Last year, May was warmer, but we had a freeze. Ditto in 2012, 2011 and 2010 (four successive May freezes - we have less than 1 on average!)

September freezes here are extraordinarily rare. I can only find once occurrence since the 1970s.

The fact that they have not seen a single flake yet speaks volumes.
Owen, I've had more frosts than you this winter and I'm in the mild South West lol!

What do you think about that?

So what do you think about us having many more frosts than you, just 16 miles from the South coast of England?

Intelligent, mature response please.

Funnily enough we already reached and surpassed Owens current frost total by the 5th December.
