Too many similar threads on this forum... I don't dislike sunshine (however, lack of it mostly doesn't worry me), but when there are no clouds or rain for weeks, it's really annoying, especially in summer, when sunshine is associated with heat.

Ft. Myers maybe?
Miami has about 200 hours more than Tampa. Tampa surpasses it just slightly in spring but that's it.

Overall spring is the sunniest time in Florida.

I like sunny days, but I prefer an even mix of sunny and cloudy. Endless stretches of both get tiring after a while, although saying that, the sunny spell in May 2012 was pretty nice - low humidity, blue dome skies and temps around 21-24C generally (though it reached 27C on two days). The only downside is that pollution 'accumulated' in the Aire Valley, resulting in smog. Some people in the valley even complained of a burning sensation in the nose. This tends to happen during anticyclonic weather.

Only months I hate sunny days is May, June, July, August, September. Unless dew points are bone dry or temps below 80F

I don't particularly care whether it is sunny or partly cloudy. Temperatures and dryness are more important (though the occasional thunderstorm is acceptable).

In winter, I don't care if it is sunny at all and the focus is entirely on temperatures.

Do you prefer a sunny 21C (70F) day, or a cloudy 24C(75F) day?

Probably the 24c and cloudy day (I'm assuming there will at least be a couple of hours of sun, and no precip).

What does annoy me is when we get summer after summer of well below average sunshine (our average summer sunshine suits me fine), even in warm and dry months.

Look at July 2010; 1c above average, very dry, but also one of the cloudiest Julys on record!

August 2016 was the sunniest August since 2005 (yet was still below average), but I'd probably pick it over July 2010 as the temps are very similar, yet it has normal sunshine.

There's also this one, which had close to average temps (and very stable by our summer standards) and rainfall (almost all of the rainfall came from thunderstorms on 2 days), yet was a very cloudy month. Had it seen 200-220 hours, it would have been a decent summer month.

I like a good deal of sunshine; my ideal climate would see about 3200 hours of sun per year, so you can tell I'd rather it be sunny than "wasted overcast" the majority of the time.

What I don't like, however, is when the day starts out cloudy and rainy but then it clears out in the afternoon. I get used to the darkness, making it seem way brighter than it is, and the dew points always skyrocket after that too. Not cool.

Sure, too many sunny days can get repetitive and boring. But nothing beats perpetual cloudy days. They drive me to insanity and depression.
