The climate has always been changing and always will change, whether we like it or not. Mother nature won't be kind to us just because we're humans. Just because Florida gets wacked with a Category 5 hurricane or Washington D.C. gets two feet of snow, doesn't mean man is to blame. The weather will always be wacky from time to time. To think we can have such a drastic effect on the climate is arrogant. In the grand scheme of things, we're not even a blip on the radar.

If it's warm, it's warm. If it's cold, it's cold. If it rains, it rains. Big whoop. We'll adjust and move on with life.

Oops.

I never meant this to turn into a GW dicussion. My title had to do with the fact it snowed at my house a month latter than usual and was meant to be tongue-in-cheek

Perhaps this thread should be moved.

I know your comment was tongue in cheek. Another party tried to hijack the tone of the thread. I'm not interested in further discussion on that aspect here, except to comment that the issues to be faced are things that can/will happpen on timescales of decades, not thousands of years or more.

Instead of sampling 20yrs of whats happened here with Earths climate, why don't they sample 20 MILLION years of Earths continually changing climate.

Smacking cynics/skeptics across the boundary everyday? Get over yourself.
No, you get over yourself. You clearly don't understand the issues. GW theory was not invented by Gore. And learn how to spell "hypocrite".

With or without Al Gore sea levels have risen almost 2 feet since early 20th century. With or without Al Gore mountaintop glaciers have gotten smaller, sometimes disappearing totally. Frequency of cat 5 hurricanes has gone up. Summer ice extent in the arctic is getting smaller and smaller. 2007 had record smallest extent since satellite tracking began, and 2008 second smallest.

To say that there is no global warming is just flat out wrong.
