My son is getting married very soon and DH and I are hosting the rehearsal dinner. We are giving cute see through glass salt & pepper shakers (filled with candy) as favors at the rehearsal dinner. The holes on the top are in the shape of a heart. The pair of sharkers are in a see-through plastic box. We want to print out a cute/nice/romantic label to put on the outside of the box.

The only thing that I can think of is "Sue & Steve go together like Salt & Pepper" but that seems sort of lame.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Honestly I think all cutesy poems are pretty lame.

I've never gotten a favor at a RD before, but I'd never turn down candy so more power to you!

Favors at the rehearsal dinner aren't done around here either. So I can't help you there.
The bridal party gets their gifts from the bride and groom at that time though.

I know that there normally aren't favors at rehearsal dinners but I decided to do it for several reasons.
1. I really, really like giving , and receiving, cute, little things.
2. I figured if I gave some candy people might spend a little time eating it and buy one less cocktail costing $6 to $10 each.
3. They aren't having favors at the wedding but seemed fine with having them at the rehearsal dinner.
4. They aren't having attendants, thus no gifts for attendants at the dinner or anything else handed out to anyone. The rehearsal dinner will mainly be out of town relatives and very close friends of the bride & groom.

I didn't say that they were good reasons but I did have some reasons. LOL

Any ideas?

If I can't find or think of a saying related to salt & pepper then I may put something about sweetness or candy or love on the sticker. I probably will have mini-peppermint or mint candies in one and M&Ms or mini-M&Ms in the other mini-shakers. Does that get anyone's creative juices flowing?

The wedding is only one week away. YIKES! So any ideas or suggestions for a saying would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

This is super corny, but what about something like "a couple for all seasonings"?

Thank you for great ideas. I'm not sure one I'm going to use. We decided to add some college/state loyalty to the gift. One will have red & white Jelly Belly candies to represent Univ. of Wisconsin and the other blue & yellow Jelly Bellys to represent their California school. Jelly Belly has two factories, one in Wisconsin & one in California so it is especially fitting.
