I am staying in Jupiter and want to go to downtown west palm this weekend. The mapquest directions tell me to take US 1 (from where I am staying). Is that a safe way to go? I know I'll go right past the blue heron blvd I guess and I know many of you have warned about that area. Just curious the best way to get down to clematis. I'll be going during the day if that matters. thx

I live in Jupiter and take that route a few times a week. Never had a problem. FYI, it can be a bit confusing around the Northwood area of WPB. Just need to follow the signs...

It's probably a bit quicker to take I-95 south to Okeechobee Blvd. and head east. I prefer the U.S. 1 drive so long as I'm not in a hurry...

I'd take 95 it's longer mile wise since you have to head West and back, but it's probably faster becuase it's not stop and go.
If you take US 1 to Singer Island it's a slower route, but a little more scenic.

I was going to ask a similar question. I will be driving from Hobe Sound to Banyan Blvd in West Palm Beach. It is a bit of a hike to get to 95 from my parent's place in Hobe Sound, but do you think 95 will be faster in general? It will be in the early afternoon (1 ish) on a Wednesday.

Yes. 95 is faster. There are a lot of traffic lights, etc. down US-1.

Take I-95 South to Okeechobee Blvd., go East. Then use Tamarind, Quadrille or Rosemary to get to Clematis and/or Banyan.

Thanks!

The map directions say to take Australian Avenue, looks like there are a few ways to get up to Banyan from Okeechobee. Will probably take Tamarind up.

Thanks Again!
