Jupiter High vs. Wellington HS?

My cousin was learning 8th grade academics in 11th grade at Jupiter high. PBC schools are far behind due to the different cultures. Everybody passes!

Then "your cousin" should have been in at least honors, AP or dual enrollment type classes.

Jupiter High School gets an "8 out of 10" at Greatschools.net, which is good for high schools.

The school beats the state average by a significant margin in terms of "grade level" comprehension.

Both of my children graduated from Jupiter High. Of course I am partial to it, but it would certainly be my preference over Wellington, not so much regarding the school but more so, the lifestyle that Jupiter offers. We love the ocean and beaches. I would take a smaller home in Jupiter/Tequesta any day over a larger one in Wellington. To me, it's more of an equestrian community and that's just not our interest.

I can tell you that the principal of Jupiter High was formerly the principal of Wellington High and I have heard her personally state her preference for Jupiter.....but I am not sure of her specific reasons. I estimate she has been at Jupiter around 5 years now...

Both areas are very wealthy and upscale and there are numerous opportunities for advanced programs at either school. I, personally, do not feel the private schools offer anything you cannot get from these top notch public high schools....many students transfer out of private to go to Jupiter every year. Many of the students at Jupiter have The financial means and academic standing to go anywhere. It is highly competitive to get your child into Jupiter.
