Ok buddy, I called them and asked if they have air conditioning, after a long pause, Amanda, at front desk said "excuse me", then I repeated, "do your rooms have air conditioning? "Yes, all rooms have air conditioning"... I thanked her for answering, and apologized for wasting her time with such a silly question...

Oh, she did say that rooms don't have bathrooms, so do your business before checking in...

Well, maybe now they have a/c, but they didn't back in August 2010. I don't need to add to my bills to call them. I spent a month there back in April/May and close to a month back in August 2011.

hahah I just called too. Poor Amanda told me that if there is no "body heat" in the room the A/c turns off automatically and the same occurs when the sliding glass door is left open.

Sounds like an awsome place !

Whoops, my bad~! I just did a search and now I see the hotel was across from where I stayed. It wasn't that hotel I was thinking about. I was referring to another hotel down the road on Atlantic. I forgot the name, but they are a "green hotel" and they don't have a/c. Maybe the rooms do but when you walk inside it is a steam bath.

Well I'm glad you cleared that up, Veggie nut, because I couldn't imagine The New Seagate on Atlantic Ave. NOT having air conditioning....it's being touted as the newest, beautiful hotel on Atlantic...My nieces stayed there last year and liked it very much.. The Colony Hotel is an old hotel on Atlantic, the
rooms are old, but as far as I knew they had air conditioning...Who would stay in a hotel in the summer in Florida without air conditioning? maybe it was broken at the time? strange. It's a landmark.
For the money, if you have extra, I would rather splurge and stay at the Breakers in Palm Beach.
