Despite the Latin influence, Miami and Fort Lauderdale get most of the mainstream acts because the venues are larger.

West Palm Beach gets smaller acts, but has some good festivals as well throughout the year.

You just mentioned the larger music venue in your own post. A lot of big acts go to Bank Atlantic. Also, the Hard Rock in Hollywood sometimes has some more classic acts too. Boca has some smaller venues that bands sometimes play at but WPB proper has not had a major music venue since the "Dome" closed/was sold in the 90's. There is the Coral Sky aka Sound Advice in western Palm Beach but that is partially open air. There are some smaller venues up the coast too like the Lyric and Sunrise Theatre. Both are beautiful venues.
