Really~?? They have laws there that you can't water your lawn, flowers and etc~? We've had tons of rain and flooding here in Louisville, KY which you can gladly have We don't have such laws here and a lot of people use all kinds of sprinklers systems and inground sprinkler systems that are on a control like a light switch.

They usually put on water restrictions when we don't get enough rain. Haven't heard of them not allowing watering at all. It's usually two days a week during certain hours. Water Shortage Restrictions

If I'm not mistaken, I THINK I heard Lake Worth enacted stricter restrictions than called for for the rest of the county.

BTW, I'm excited... from the little bit of rain we got yesterday, my rain barrell is almost full, so that will be used to water plants for now

We have had one sunny day in recent weeks. Folks are mowing in the rain just to keep up with the grass, but some parts of yards are under water. Usually folks plant their gardens this weekend, but everything is too muddy to do that.

I miss my Florida weather!!!!!!

I do understand your need of rain. I wish I could give some of ours to you......

Frank
I wish you could too

That's an awesome idea, I've just been sneaking around with my hose trying to save my flowers

I've been doing a rain dance but so far it hasn't worked. So far we don't have any water restrictions in Boca. Our grass is still green. I felt terrible for all the people who lost their homes due to flooding. There's no utopia.

Wow! I can see the drought from clear out here in San Diego!

It's hard to imagine the paradox of swampy humidity and dried up grass and trees!

We're supposed to get a big rainstorm here in the Bay Area in California tonight. Usually it NEVER, EVER rains here in summer but I guess this year is an exception. It's been in the high 50's too, it was warmer in January when it was in the 70's. Meanwhile Seattle and Portland will be in the low 80's in the next few days while we freeze our buns off.

Don't worry about the rain - soon enough you will have plenty - all summer is one big humid, rain event here.

The last time we had a delayed dry season was 2005, and I remember the same in 2004, 1992 and 1986. In most of those years you know what comes later....
