Hi everyone hope all is well, We're a black family plannng to relocate to the Palm Beach area from NJ....We have a teenage daughter and she's nervous about the move she will be starting high school....We really want a private school is King's Academy good? Our plan is to rent a home for about a year get a good feel for the place then buy a home....We're in our early forties and loving life.....I'm thinking about areas like Jupiter, Palm beach gardens any advice?

Of the two above, I prefer PBG. Friends from NYC moved 2 years ago and love it.

Thanks for your response can I just add when renting we prefer a house not an apt, a nice family oriented community...close enough to a vibrant gym and shopping.

In Palm Beach Gardens, especially near PGA Blvd, you'll have plenty of shopping, restaurants, gyms etc..
Jupiter is not bad either, just not so upscale as PBG.

Jupiter and Gardens are so close that there isn't much of a distinction in lifestyle or access to amenities that you'll miss out on living in one over the other.

Not sure what your price range is, or what your criteria is (gated vs. non, etc.)... but the north county has everything, so you will have a lot of options. Especially if schools aren't an issue because you're going private.

Thanks for replies, so we're def moving to the area looking for a 3 bedroom house in a family oriented gated community to rent, Any thoughts on King's Academy? My daughter was already accepted to a good private school here in Jersey so I'm looking for a school that would be similar.

I can't help you with King's academy, I've heard good things about Benjamin and that would be a little more local if you want to be in North County
You will be fairly limited as far as rentals are concern in that price range if you want a single family home in a gated community. Right now there are only 4-5 on the market and they rent quickly. Evergrene would be a nice place to rent in. Dues are a little high for some people when it comes to purchase, but that won't affect you renting.
There are lots of nice townhomes as well, Cielo in the Gardens is gated and much larger at around 2200 sqft than you will find in a single family home rental.
